ADIEU TO GIVENCHY COUTURE CATWALKS

GIVENCHY Couture Collection, Spring 2010 in STYLE.COM

An adieu is in order to Givenchy couture shows. This famous French house has exchanged the catwalk for an 18th century house in Paris where this luxury label will present just 10 looks from Givenchy's latest collection to its high fashion clientele and editors.
"After a crisis, a new era always starts." said Riccardo Tisci. As if couture was not exclusive enough, the genius behind the label is now inviting their clients to private appointments only. "People can really experience the couture moment - see it, touch it." he explained. Of course this all extravaganza will cost something like 35% more than a regular catwalk show. But regular is not for Tisci. "I want to make couture even more special than it is, and not just another catwalk show."
I believe that in moments of crisis, creativity is enhanced... maybe Mr. Tisci, the label's couturier, is into something!
